Lucid Dream Main Title:

A small piece I composed for a friends film. :)

I won’t be your slave

How much is your time really worth? I think I’d prefer to be poor for my entire life than lose half of it to become an insignificant cog in someone else’s.

“I must create a system, or be enslaved by another man’s.”
— William Blake

The average person spends what… 75,000 hours working in their lifetime. I’m going to be generous and suggest 25 percent of people actually enjoy their job. Going off rough figures, statistics say just over 3 billion people are employed worldwide. the remaining 75 percent are unhappy with their job and don’t enjoy their time at work. So… 75 percent of 3 billion people working 75,000 hours each in their lifetime… Thats 168,750,000,000,000 unhappy hours shared by a generation… 19250908643 years collectively of being a little insignificant cog…

Call it laziness if you will, but I think true laziness is accepting what is expected of you and not actually questioning societies crazy patterns. Maybe I just think too much? Or maybe being swept along is no longer enough for me… Whatever it is, I know I’m not satisfied with what people expect of me. I plan on experiencing the world… Not selling my precious life away to someone else’s, just to enable me to fit into an ill society that I honestly would rather have nothing to do with…

Maybe i’m not informed enough to lay down such criticism… Maybe I don’t have enough years under my belt to talk about such things… But I’m not going to wait around to find out.

I shall escape a lifetime of dulled anti-experience.
